The confluence of several personal experiences has given birth to a completely new body of work. In this series, I carry the concept of woman as vessel toward abstraction, revealing the unfolding of what feels to be a true feminine nature. These images begin with gestural brush strokes in walnut ink, then glazes of colored pencil are applied. In these pieces I am engaged in process, the dance between control and freedom. My excitement comes where I connect hand to paper, where trust and guidance allow the universal to speak.
